🚨 ISP Blocking Alert: Why You Might Need a VPN Now

If you’re using Spectrum, AT&T, Comcast, or Xfinity Internet, you may have noticed issues connecting to certain non‑mainstream TV apps. These ISPs have a history of restricting access to alternative platforms — including mine — where a VPN is required to bypass these blocks.

Why This Matters

AT&T started this years ago. Comcast and Xfinity are now following suit. They prioritize bandwidth for mainstream services like Netflix and Disney+, while throttling or outright blocking alternatives. It’s frustrating, unfair, and — let’s be honest — censorship.

What You Can Do

If you're experiencing these issues, here’s a quick troubleshooting guide:

Step 1: Reboot your modem. Sometimes a fresh connection helps reset ISP-level restrictions.

Step 2: Check your ISP’s firewall settings. If possible, disable it or whitelist the server you’re trying to reach.

Step 3: Use a VPN. This is the most reliable solution. It encrypts your traffic and routes it through a secure server, bypassing ISP filters while still letting them claim they’re “protecting” you.

💡 Honestly, everyone should be using a VPN anyway — for privacy, security, and freedom online.

My Experience

Since the pandemic, AT&T has consistently blocked my platform while boosting traffic to mainstream services. It’s not just inconvenient — it’s a deliberate attempt to control what users can access.
