Roku TV & Roku streaming devices

Set up IPTV using
Xtream Codes login

Find a compatible Roku player, enter your account details, and load your channels with this easy, step-by-step guide.

6 setup steps Username + password + server URL QR-code instructions included

Before you begin

  • A Roku TV or Roku streaming device connected to the internet.
  • An active service account and your streaming username and password.
  • The complete server URL supplied with your streaming login.
  • Your Roku remote; a phone or computer may help if the player uses an activation website.
Use your app login details. Your Roku account password and KWTV billing-portal password are not the credentials to enter in the player's Xtream Codes fields.

Find a compatible IPTV player

  1. Press Home on your Roku remote.
  2. Open Store → Apps. Some Roku menus use Streaming Store or Streaming Channels.
  3. Use Search from the home menu or store, where available. Try IPTV, Xtream, or a player's exact name.
  4. Open the app's description and confirm that it lists Xtream Codes, Xtream Codes API, or a server URL + username + password login.

Store listings you can check

The following Roku Store descriptions advertise Xtream Codes support. Check availability and pricing on your own device before choosing a player.

Listing examples checked September 16, 2026. A store listing does not confirm that an app has been tested with KWTV. Availability can differ by region and change over time.

Only see an M3U option? This walkthrough requires an Xtream Codes login. Choose a different player if Xtream Codes is not offered.

Install and open the player

  1. With the app selected, choose Add app or Add channel, if offered.
  2. Read any trial or payment terms. Enter your Roku PIN if prompted.
  3. Allow installation to finish, then return to Home and open the player.

Roku also supports adding apps through its website or mobile app. See Roku's official app-installation instructions.

Player fees and TV service are separate

Some players charge for activation or continued use. Paying for the player does not purchase or renew your KWTV service. Review the terms before paying, and test compatibility during a trial if one is available.

Choose Xtream Codes login

Look for Login with Xtream Codes. Depending on the player, the option may be called:

  • Xtream Codes API or XC API
  • Xtream Login or Add Xtream Playlist
  • Add User or Add Playlist, followed by Xtream Codes
Add User / Playlist Xtream Codes

If the TV displays a QR code or activation website instead of login fields, follow the QR-code setup instructions below.

Enter your account details

The player needs your server URL, username, and password. Field order and wording may differ. If it also asks for a playlist name, enter KWTV.

Server / Host URL
Use the exact address supplied with your login. Keep http:// or https:// and any port number exactly as provided. It may be labeled Server, Host, Portal URL, or Xtream URL. In this guide, it must be the Xtream login screen.
Username
Enter your streaming/app username exactly as supplied. Do not substitute your email address unless that is your provided username.
Password
Enter your streaming/app password. Match capital letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
Playlist name
KWTV is simply a label to help you recognize the account. It does not change your login details.

Double-check before connecting

Remove extra spaces at the beginning or end of every field. Check spelling and capitalization. Use the provided server address, not the KWTV website, an M3U playlist link, or an EPG link. If you do not have the server URL, ask support instead of guessing.

Connect and load your channels

  1. Select Login, Connect, Add User, or Save.
  2. Leave the player open while it connects and loads your content. The first load may take a few minutes.
  3. Open Live TV, choose a category, and select a channel to test playback.

Depending on your account and player, you may also see Movies, TV Series, Favorites, and TV Guide / EPG.

Check your connection limit. Stop playback on another device if you are already using all the simultaneous streams included with your plan. Playing extra streams can cause interruptions or connection errors.

Let the TV guide finish loading

If your player supports an EPG / TV Guide, give it a few minutes after your channels load. You may temporarily see No Information or No Program Information.

  1. Open the player's Settings or TV Guide menu.
  2. If available, select Refresh EPG or Update TV Guide.
  3. Wait for the update to finish, then check several channels.

Guide coverage depends on the player and the service's available EPG data. Some channels may have no program information even when playback works.

Setup complete! Once a channel plays, you are ready to watch. Add favorites or adjust captions if your chosen player offers those features.

Does your player use a QR code or website?

Some players manage playlists through their own website. Your TV may display a QR code, Device ID, activation code, or a player-specific MAC address.

  1. Leave the player open on your Roku.
  2. On your phone or computer, open the website shown by the player, or scan its QR code.
  3. Follow the player's instructions to identify or link the device using the exact code or ID displayed on your TV.
  4. Choose Add Playlist → Xtream Codes, if that option is available.
  5. Enter your server URL, username, and password. Use KWTV as the playlist name if requested.
  6. Select Save or Add Playlist.
  7. Return to the Roku player and choose Refresh / Reload, or close and reopen the app.
  8. Continue with Step 5 to test a channel.
Use the player's own setup website. Confirm the address matches the one shown in the app before entering account information. A player activation fee is separate from your KWTV service. If the website only accepts M3U links, this Xtream Codes walkthrough does not apply to that player.

Troubleshooting common problems

What you seeWhat to try
Invalid Login / Authentication FailedRecheck all three login fields, including the full server URL and any extra spaces. Confirm your service is active. A login error can also reflect a server or player compatibility problem; it does not always mean your password is wrong.
No channels or missing categoriesConfirm the correct playlist is selected. Look for Refresh Playlist, Update Playlist, Reload, or Sync. Let it finish, then reopen Live TV.
No TV guide informationLet the playlist finish loading, then update the EPG if the app offers it. Check several channels. The selected player or channel may not have guide information available.
Buffering or a channel will not playTry another channel, check Roku's internet connection, and stop other streams if you have reached your account's connection limit. Reopen the app or restart the Roku. Tell support whether one channel or every channel is affected.
Player asks for activation or paymentRead the player's trial and fee details. This message may concern the app's own license, even if your KWTV subscription is active. Player licensing and billing are handled by its developer.
App cannot be foundIt may not be offered in your region or may have been removed. Search for another Roku Store player that explicitly supports Xtream Codes, or use the HDMI option below.
Still unable to log in? Contact support to verify your account details before buying another player. If those details are correct, trying another compatible Roku app may help identify a player-specific issue.

Roku limitations & the HDMI option

Features depend on the player you choose. Do not assume that EPG, favorites, closed captions, search, channel sorting, multiscreen, recording, VOD organization, or advanced playback settings will work the same as in your usual KWTV app.

You can keep your Roku TV

If you cannot find a suitable Roku player, connect a compatible Google TV / Android TV streaming device to an available HDMI port. Switch the TV to that HDMI input to use the external device, then follow the KWTV setup guide for that device.
