How to Clear Cache on KWTV Apps

If your KWTV app is not opening, freezing, loading slowly, showing a blank screen, or acting strange, clearing the app cache is one of the first troubleshooting steps you should try.

Use these steps if you are using a Fire TV, Firestick, Fire TV Cube, or any Amazon Fire TV device.

Clear Cache on Fire TV

  1. From your Fire TV home screen, go to Settings.
  2. Select Applications.
  3. Choose Manage Installed Applications.
  4. Scroll down and select the app you are using: KWTV or KWTV XC.
  5. Select Force Stop.
  6. Select Clear Cache.
  7. Reopen the app and give it a minute to fully load.
🚨 Do not select Clear Data unless instructed.
Clearing data may remove your saved login information.

🤖 Google TV / Android TV Instructions

Use these steps if you are using a Google TV, Android TV, Chromecast with Google TV, Onn device, NVIDIA Shield, or similar Android-based streaming device.

Clear Cache on Google TV / Android TV

  1. From the Google TV home screen, go to Settings.
  2. Select Apps.
  3. Choose See All Apps.
  4. Select the app you are using: KWTV or KWTV XC.
  5. Select Force Stop.
  6. Select Clear Cache.
  7. Reopen the app and give it a minute to fully load.
🚨 Do not select Clear Storage or Clear Data unless instructed.
This may erase your saved login details.

After clearing cache, reopen the app and allow it a minute to fully load.

If the issue continues, restart your device by unplugging it from power for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and try again.
