First — restart your device properly by going to:
FireTV Devices
- Home > Settings > MyFireTV > Restart
AndroidTV / GoogleTV Devices
- Home > Settings > System > About > Restart
Once your device has completed the power cycle, you’ll need to Force Stop the app and Clear Cache. Here's how:
FireTV Devices — Clear Cache
- Home > Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications > Kodi
- Click Force Stop, then Clear Cache
AndroidTV / GoogleTV Devices — Clear Cache
- Home > Settings > Apps > Kodi
- Click Force Stop, then Clear Cache
🚨 DO. NOT. CLEAR DATA!!! 🚨
If you clear data (even by accident), you will lose everything and have to set Kodi back up from scratch.
Now open Kodi like you normally would, and everything should load correctly.
