Important: If we recently added channels, fixed guide data, or made server-side changes, your KWTV / TiviMate app may need a playlist and EPG refresh before those updates appear on your end.
Step 1
Increase the Playlist Update Frequency
Your playlist controls the channel list, categories, and stream updates.
Go to: Settings > Playlists > Select Your KWTV Playlist
- Open KWTV / TiviMate
- Go to Settings
- Select Playlists
- Choose your playlist
- Scroll down to Update interval
- Set it to 4 hours
Recommended: Turn ON Update on app start.
Step 2
Update the TV Guide (EPG) More Often
The EPG controls your schedule data and program listings.
Go to: Settings > EPG
- Open Settings
- Select EPG
- Find Update interval
- Set it to around 4 to 8 hours
Also recommended: Turn ON Update on app start.
Step 3
Manually Force an Update Anytime
- Playlist refresh: Settings > Playlists > Select Your Playlist > Update playlist
- Guide refresh: Settings > EPG > Update EPG
Good to know: A manual refresh is often the fastest way to pull in newly added channels or guide corrections.
Best Settings
Recommended Refresh Balance
Playlist
Update interval: 4 hours
Update on app start: ON
TV Guide / EPG
Update interval: 4 to 8 hours
Update on app start: ON
Do not set updates too aggressively. The settings above are usually the best balance.
Troubleshooting
If It Still Is Not Updating Correctly
- Restart your streaming device
- Re-open KWTV / TiviMate and manually update the playlist and EPG
- Make sure your internet connection is stable
- If you use a VPN, verify it is connected properly
- If guide data is still missing, give the app a little time after refreshing
Still having trouble? There may be a connection issue, VPN issue, or another device-side issue preventing updates from pulling in properly.
